About Us

Dusty and Kyla like to work together on training in order to utilize their two very different backgrounds and strengths. Their goal is to produce a well rounded horse that is soft, respectful and confident both in and out of the arena. Dusty has over 20 years in the equine industry ranging from rodeoing, colt starting, cowboying, packing and guiding. Today he likes to focus on colt starting and exposing our home raised colts to outside miles and real life scenarios on the ranch. Depending on the time of year he can also use outside horses to day work on neighboring ranches. Kyla spent over 10 years competing and working for trainers in English Hunter/Jumper and Dressage worlds. She enjoys putting this foundation on our horses and is now focusing on producing Ranch Versatility horses. When your horse leaves Pioneer Mountain Ranch it will have a strong foundation that can be applied to any discipline, as well as the confidence to accomplish any task on the ranch.
